My husband and I bonded over our shared love for the outdoors during our first few dates in northern BC, revelling in fishing, camping and our mutual admiration for the river. With a deep affection for the fall season, we always envisioned having a fall wedding, and Alberta, with all our family there, felt perfect. The Cochrane Ranchehouse provided the ideal blend, showcasing stunning fall colours with an outdoor ceremony and an indoor reception. Inspired by the 2020 trends of terracotta, eucalyptus green and pampas grass neutrals, I embraced the concept of dressing my bridesmaid in different colours, weaving in the emerging styles of satin and chiffon to offer varying textures. The creative process of developing my colour scheme felt natural, and the vision for everything else fell into place seamlessly. During that time, my style gravitated towards rustic elegance. Crafting this beautiful day was a joyous journey, made possible by my husband’s unwavering support of my vision.
